Job Purpose
Analyzes and controls the costs related to the group plants
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plans and directs the implementation of cost control methods and cost accounting activities
- Prepare monthly actual vs standard costs, and Investigates costs that appear inconsistent with previous experience
- Coordinates cost work prior to taking monthly physical inventory
- Ensure accuracy of the stock related data on system
- Gather, analyze, and prepare financial information - monthly and yearly
- Prepare monthly forecasts
- Review and establish procedures to improve efficiency and costs
- Prepare comparison cost analysis for decision making
- Manage and direct cost dept. to review and establish product costs and supervise special cost studies
- Periodically review allocations of O-H costs and resolve cost issues
- Interface costing and payroll functions
- Support and interface with other department managers
- Ensure timely and accurate labor, material, O-H, energy, waste and OEE reports
- Study and review the full manufacturing cost, and recommend improvements and cost saving initiatives
- Study and recommend the routing for the proper coordination to the manufacturing flow
- Calculate and prepare the plants financial forecasts on a monthly basis, detailed budget for the fiscal year, and an updated revised budget each quarter.
- Establish labor and overhead standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Competencies
- BS/MA degree in Finance
- CFA/CPA or similar is a plus
- 5 years of experience
