Job Purpose 

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the physical movement of finished products and raw materials within the organization. This includes communicating with the suppliers, negotiating with the Forwarders and Clearance agent to ensure orders are delivered on time, managing the freight of export, import Orders. He/She has to prepare the reporting needed for the management related to order tracking, follow up on the new regulations of countries and ministries.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the company's logistics system

  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency

  • Oversee warehousing operations, and optimize containers loading

  • Track transportation of Raw materials from suppliers to plants

  • Track transportation of Goods from Plants to Falco

  • Coordinate with outside vendors for shipping needs

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, policies, procedures and agreements.

  • Select Forwarders, shipping lines and negotiating contracts and rates.

  • Plan and keep track of import and export deliveries.

  • Supervise the logistics team

  • Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.

  • Manage import/export freight while reporting to management on a monthly basis.

  • Coordinate with other departments to incorporate logistics into business operations and company procedures.

  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets

  • Organize the ministry's import/export-related files.

  • Ensure that all operations follow all legislative requirements, regulations, and ISO standards.

  • Maintain contact with the procurement team to ensure that the RM deliveries are OTIF.

  • Follow up with the clearance agent to reduce the expense incurred throughout the clearance procedure.

  • Prepare the reporting of Import/ exports tracking

Competencies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics or other relevant fields.

Experience

  • A minimum 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
