Job Purpose

Responsible for directing, coordinating, and managing the overall plant operation. Assure that the plant's production objectives are achieved at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements while maintaining compliance to Local regulations and laws.
Oversee efficiency and production, the employees, and to ensure the plant consistently runs efficiently, quickly, safely, and smoothly

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, recruitment, on-boarding, development and coordination to all employees  over all plant departments and functions
  • Follow-up on achieving key performance indicators & product quality
  • Follow-up on waste, inventories of raw materials, finished products and energy supplies
  • Monitor, analyze operations and suggest corrective actions
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets and to establish continual improvement and optimization of the operation process in accordance with the Quality Management System
  • Commit to plant safety procedures and perform routine safety checks on equipment
  • With the company’s management, develop and execute process annual plan, and budgets based on company goals and objectives
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Direct and coordinate plant operations within the company policies and procedures
  • Plan, organize and direct optimum daily operations with the concerned departments
  • Increase operation efficiency, through increasing productivity while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
  • Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time delivery
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
  • Reviews all recommendations for special machinery, and works closely with engineering personnel regarding product and process improvement and new product launches.
  • Participates in long-range plant expansion, conversion, and equipment planning.
  • Oversees the maintenance of buildings, and equipment, and plant security and protection.
  • Schedule and conduct regular operation reviews & meetings
  • Coordinate with the commercial department, R&D, Purchasing and IT and FALCO on market needs/comments or product development as to quality and shelf life
  • Coordinate with R&D concerning new product developments (e.g. industrial trials, launching plans, product reformulation)
  • Stay up-to-date with latest operation management best practices and concepts
  • Make sure that transactions on ERP system are executed instantly and in a right manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • B.S or B.E in Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Agriculture or any related field
  • Six sigma and lean manufacturing certificate is a plus
  • Approved / certified auditor or lead auditor certification is a plus
  • 10 years in Food industry, out of which a minimum of 5 years spent in managerial level
  • English language, French is a plus

Physical Effort

Work require physical frequent tours in the factory, standing for long hours, occasional night shifts site visits and occasional traveling as business needs
