Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring that all process parameters of ingredients weighing, batch mixing, cooking, and packaging abide by set standards and that finished products conform to set standards

Duties & Responsibilities

• Undertake quality control tasks in close coordination with the QC Supervisor

• Ensure that production lines (Machines, conveyor belts, cutters, surrounding floor …) are clean and ready for daily start up

• Ensure that raw materials received are of the correct type, Shelf Life and that the right quantities are weighed as per mixing reports

• Verify process parameters during production runs

• Ensure that hygienic measures are implemented

• Undertake periodic sampling of in process and finished products to verify weight on line and follow up with lab analysts on test results such as moisture, viscosity, water activity…. and records them in the relevant inspection reports

• Ensure that batch samples are systematically retrieved, labelled and stored adequately for traceability and shelf-life study

• Notify the Quality Supervisor on registered deviations for immediate action

• Fill and maintains quality inspection reports

• Perform other duties as assigned

Competencies

Education

• Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or any related field

Experience

• 0-3 years of experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• English language, French is a plus
