Job Purpose

To provide information and insight regarding customers, markets, competitors and campaign effectiveness by measuring performance to support Business decisions

Duties & Responsibilities

• Generate daily, monthly, and other cyclical sales reports
• Report in a timely and accurate manner to the marketing analysis team and others on the brand and the status of competition in assigned markets
• Generate and upgrade the analysis level by introducing innovative methods for analyzing and tracking competition
• Follow market dynamics for an upgrade in the marketing intelligence tasks
• Recommend suitable tactics and courses of action based on market analysis and findings
• Assist the marketing and the company’s leadership teams in budget follow up through accurate and timely reporting and data analysis
• Respond to internal data requests and analysis reports in a timely manner
• Generate various budget spending reports when needed and as required
• Collect market data (e.g., competition prices, distribution channels, industry sales) through research (information from industry associations, statisticians and marketing experts)
• Generate various brand performance reports when and as required
• Benchmark other products to evaluate existing and potential products
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of the company’s trademarks to ensure they are renewed prior to expiry
• Develop a research plan, analyze research results and offer advice on marketing activities
• Generate reports that analyze customers, competition and the industry using charts, graphs and explanatory text
• Maintain MAO software to ensure its up-to-date and accurate
• Perform other duties as assigned

Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or related field.
• Knowledge of Syndicated data sources (such as Nielsen or The NPD Group)
• Knowledge of Retail Audit Software
• Knowledge of SQL or other database application
• 3 years of experience in a similar role
• English language, French is a plus
