Job Purpose

Assist R&D department in the development of new products and coordinate with related parties on technical needed resources for successful launches. In addition, act as a Project/ Line focal point of contact when it comes to new line operating (scheduling, execution & finalization of product to be ready for launching)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in feasibility studies related to new products/ packaging ideas

• Suggest line balancing schemes for new products

• Assist in equipment sourcing and archive all technical related points

• Analyze processes and report any deviation in processes (Line capacity, equipment performance)

• Maintain equipment library (Specifications, Catalogues, Troubleshooting Techniques)

• Assist in Line trials from technical part (related to equipment, parameters and assembly)

• Assist in Line scaling

• Coordinate with Engineering & Maintenance departments and discuss needed resources for product development

• Prepare and attend lines commissioning and coordinate with external parties required preparations

• Review processes & suggest continuous improvements

• Participate in R&D projects

• Assist related parties in products production launches and troubleshooting

• Plan, Schedule Line trials and coordinate with related parties

• Schedule regular meetings with related parties to discuss progress and any bottlenecks

• Implement strategies designed by upper management

• Identify bottlenecks and suggest corrective actions

• Learn & Train people on new line operating (Production & Packaging equipment)

• Plan goals, objectives & tasks of the department and communicates with subordinates as needed

• Handle data entry on A/X related to new Line trials to start reading the cost of trials related to the project

• Perform other duties as assigned

   

Competencies 

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Electro-mechanical engineering background, Food Industrial or Chemical Engineering Background
• Ability to understand technical data related to equipment/ lines
• Ability to handle new equipment commissioning

• Knowledge in AutoCAD, Visio, Ppt and Excel

Experience

• Proven 3-5 experience in R&D or product development, with a focus on engineering

• Project management experience, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience with prototyping, testing, and validation processes.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
